free things to do in singapore

free things to do in singapore, not even think of itunless you were local. then i'm sure you already knew about them. but when i went i was superexcited about these five things, and felt like i just neededto share it with you,

even though i'm not in singapore. in my bedroom, justsharing it with you now. if you like this video,be sure to subscribe, give it a thumbs up, comment down below ffor anything else you want to see me do. let's just get right into it. (serene music) (light upbeat music) number five, the cloud forest.

♫ i'm coming out into the light ♫ and i'm holding on it is just beautiful, like so breathtaking. you walk in and there'sthis beautiful waterfall. all of the plants are just so lush. it's nice and air conditioned. ♫ till i can hear my name called ♫ oh take me downtown to the bright light ♫ to hear my name called

it's a really beautiful place if you like going and taking photosof plants and flowers, and yourself for instagram, i don't know. just a beautiful placeto be in and take in. it also will give youadmission to the flower dome, which i will say isnot nearly as exciting. it's basically flowersfrom all over the world, which was cool, but justnot nearly as breathtaking as the cloud forest was.

but overall, definitely a must see if you're in the city anyway. it's about $28 for admissionto both domes for the day. ♫ i know i fail (i know i fail) ♫ most of the time (most of the time) my fourth favorite thingwas also pretty touristy, the singapore zoo. (light music) the zoo is really wellknown for having no cages.

i mean, technically there are cages. some animals, you can't just let a tiger roam around the zoo, right? but the monkeys aredefinitely out of their cages, and their feeding time'sat around 11:00 am, and then another onelater in the afternoon, where their feederswill put out their food right by a trail and youcan get really up close. fortunately, the staffthere are very mindful

of not letting guests gettoo, too close to the monkeys, because you don't want to scare them off and have them wander todifferent parts of the zoo where they don't belong. we also went and hadbreakfast with the orangutans, which is basically yousit and have breakfast while they talk about orangutans, which was really cool. never thought i'd learn so much

about orangutans in my life. but overall, the zoo wasdefinitely a favorite of mine. definitely very nice to go and see all of the adorableanimals that are native and not native to singapore. my third favorite thing to do in singapore was sentosa island. basically just gettingall of the touristy things out of the way to begin with.

sentosa is a big amusementpark island sort of thing. that's where universal is in singapore. as well as a bunch of beaches, zip lines, an aquarium, so tons and tons to do there. but what we did was just go to the beach. we walked over to the most southern part of continental asia, sothat was pretty cool. then after going and seeingthat we just walked back right to the beach bar, andhung out and had some beer.

pretty pricey for beer. i think it was $50 for a jug of beer. so that's like $45 canadian. but it was really nice to watch the sunset as we enjoyed our beer. ♫ no mistaking that you're doing for me the second thing thati had so much fun with was a cooking class. i think i'm going to have to go back into

a cooking class every time i go somewhere, because it was just so cool to learn how to make some dishes from the region, and then be able to bring them back home. especially because singaporeis so well known for it's food. i was in heaven. almost everything i ate, i just wanted to pack a million of in my suitcase. so having the recipe forit was a pretty good,

pretty good compromise. we went to cookery magic, which is hosted in the lovely roxanna's home. she's been doing it for, i think, she said 16 years now. so she's definitely experienced, definitely knows what she's doing. it was really well organized, but also very homey.

in fact, my pants actuallyripped on the way there and she even let meborrow her sewing needle to stitch them up. if there is nothing better than that, i don't know what is. just genuine hospitality. it was great. the food, obviously, was to die for. so good.

we had these little dumpling things with raw sugar cane inthem that just oozed out. like i can't even begin to describe to you how amazing this was. if you want to see memake a video on my channel about how to make those,i'd be super happy to, because i just reallywant to eat them again. i'm hoping i can find all the ingredients. but i'm sure i can hunt them down.

and finally, my favoritething that we did in singapore was go to pulau ubin, or like people who cannot pronounce anythingother than english and french, like myself, granite island. ♫ because i love you (because i love you) ♫ because i love you(i'll go a thousand miles) granite island is about, i would say, it took us 20 minutes toget there on the ferry, so it's about a 20-minute ferry ride away

from singapore, and costs $3 to go there, $3 to go back, $3 to rent a bike. you get an amazing day of biking around this beautiful island for just $9. we saw the most gorgeousponds and trees and animals. actually, we saw somepretty terrifying boar, which i didn't even get oncamera because i was so scared. but it was really coolto see them, regardless. and some beautiful birds.

just paradise. ♫ fly free ♫ to see you fly free fly free fly ♫ to see you fly free fly free okay, guys, that is it for my top five things to do in singapore. i'm going to be doing another video about the things that i ate in singapore, because there was so much stuff

that i couldn't even fitit into a vlog format. i will have that to you guys very soon. if you liked this video, be sure to give it a thumbs up, subscribe, and i will see you in the next one. bye. my third favorite--
